| Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Gateway and Streetscape
Proposal, Coalition of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive Neighborhoods,
Inc in partnership with the city of Little Rock, 10/01-5/02. Design Team:
John Beneke - Landscape Designer, Michael Warrick - Artist. Project:
Conceptual designs for five gateway intersections and a streetscape for
a two mile long portion of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Little
Rock. Concept design work included sidewalks, intersections, benches,
lighting, bus stops, electronic kiosks, sculpture and fountains in pre-cast
concrete, brick, ferro cement, aluminum, ceramic tile, water, natural
gas, brass. Central High Commemorative Garden, National Park Service Central High Museum, Inc., Little Rock, AR, 2/01-9/01. Design Team: Michael Warrick - Artist, Aaron Hussey - Artist, MESA - Landscape Design. Project: Design and production of Commemorative Garden to honor the “Spirit of Central High.” Design work included walkways, retaining walls, landscaping, plaza, lighting and sculpture in stainless steel, concrete, pre-cast concrete, Lexan plastic, brick. |
